Helmet head

Qualification: M.Tech/ B. Tech in Material Science / Composites Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering, Polymer engineering or Equivalent.


Other desired qualifications: Prior experience in Ballistic equipment designing such as Safety Armor, Helmets, Shields etc. Experience of handling a team of 10+ members , Experience in Business development and Customer demonstrations


Experience required: 12 to 15 years of overall experience, 8 years as a design lead .

Job Description

To lead the design and development of advanced ballistic helmets that meet the highest standards of safety, functionality, and comfort, ensuring MKU Limited remains a leader in the defense industry 


Knowledge and Skills Required :

  • Knowledge of ballistic materials, energy absorption composites.
  • Knowledge of Ballistic testing standards NIJ, UL752, ASTM.
  • Experience in protective armor end material fabrication. 
  • Knowledge of CAD designing for harnesses in helmets.
  • Experience of working with design houses and external design consultants.
  • Good knowledge of physical and mechanical properties of different materials used in safety equipment.
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Data Analysis.
  • Cost estimation and project feasibility study
  • Significant experience working in cross-functional teams to develop new products and technology in highly regulated environments
