It takes just a matter of seconds for a protest to gyrate into a riot, and it is the law enforcement personnel who are called upon to control the situation. To counteract the rioting mob, law enforcement personnel and police need to be swift in action and have proper equipment to control or disperse the mob.
The official car of the President of the United States is aptly nicknamed – The beast. The US President’s armoured car features 8-inch thick doors and 5-inch thick bullet resistant glass that ensures ballistic protection even against rocket propelled grenades. The weight of the car nearly approaches ten tons, due to which its top speed is limited to about 100 km/h. Though, this is a small compromise to protect a country’s head of state, the same cannot to be applied to armouring vehicles of civilian purposes.
