In the past few years, the danger of sea piracy has burgeoned to a great extent. Its threat is not limited to any specific sea area or zone. In fact, the piracy threat has spread to nearly every region of the world.

<p>There’s no room for guessing about the fact that ballistic body armour saves lives. The theatre of operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya by coalition forces have been the proving grounds for body armour gear.</p>
It takes just a matter of seconds for a protest to gyrate into a riot, and it is the law enforcement personnel who are called upon to control the situation. To counteract the rioting mob, law enforcement personnel and police need to be swift in action and have proper equipment to control or disperse the mob.
The official car of the President of the United States is aptly nicknamed – The beast. The US President’s armoured car features 8-inch thick doors and 5-inch thick bullet resistant glass that ensures ballistic protection even against rocket propelled grenades. The weight of the car nearly approaches ten tons, due to which its top speed is limited to about 100 km/h. Though, this is a small compromise to protect a country’s head of state, the same cannot to be applied to armouring vehicles of civilian purposes.
From Afghanistan to Cambodia, and from Angola to Colombia, landmines pose a great threat to civilian lives even years after the war is over. It is surprising to know to know that Egypt is still struggling to clear out the landmines that date back to the North African campaigns of World War II.
