Reporting To
Responsibilities  Identify spend areas existent across all the business areas and categorize it to prioritize sourcing activities, build strategies for each category and align with organizational goals
 Analyze and calculate procurement costs and develop cost reduction strategies: evaluate primary and secondary sources of supply to understand competitive landscape and identify opportunities for better pricing
 Work closely with Engineering and Sales to develop costing for new products
 Conduct market research and understand suppliers’ market standing and industrial performance, estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques
 Participate in RFQ process to respond to supplier and mitigate technical, spec, and cost issues
 Develop and maintain relationships with leadership of key suppliers: forward looking strategies, long range planning and partnerships
 Negotiate contracts with suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality
 Formulate purchase strategies along with Procurement HOD based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends, evaluate suppliers' capacity availability and ability to meet demand levels
 Review supplier onboarding and exit plans and provides guidance to team during process
 Manage suppliers’ service operations performance through quarterly business reviews and Supplier Performance Index (SPI)
 Oversee the management of consolidated cost initiatives for assigned categories to align with budget and long-range planning commitments
 Oversee the adherence and frequent application of supplier contract terms and conditions to ensure commitments are met and contractual benefits are realized; collaborate with suppliers to optimize sourcing needs of the organization
 Collaborate with the procurement department to identify and pursue new supplier opportunities
 Partner with Suppliers, Planning and Operations leadership to develop strategic plans to ensure supplier is consistent with corporate goals and objectives
 Develop long terms relationship with suppliers and design collaborative win-win solution so that both current and future requirements are met in the most efficient and value-maximizing manner
