Experience Upto 10 years of relevant experience in Maintenance function with at least 5 years of experience leading the Maintenance function
Reporting To
Responsibilities · Define annual goals for the department, set department KPI’s in alignment with plant goals
· Implementation of best practices, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
· Prepare the annual Maintenance budget for the plants before the start of the financial year
· Explore opportunities of technology upgradation and new technology adoption
· Analyze equipment’s criticality, formulate cost effective maintenance plan as per criticality
· Proactively assess risks on continuous basis and implement a system of continuous improvement throughout the maintenance function.

· Effectively delegate any maintenance issues to be resolved on each shift to the right people in the team and ensure resolution of the issues on timely basis so that it doesn’t affect production
· Adhere to daily and weekly checks to ensure smooth operation of site
· Develop Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out as per plan and task lists are used for PM
· Ensure routine calibration and maintenance requirements of a variety of electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems are undertaken on timely basis
· Ensure that respective plants and facilities are fit for purpose and to provide proactive support/solutions when required
· Manage the process of the introduction of new machinery, plant and equipment from specification preparation, to managing suppliers through to full installation in collaboration with all relevant parties
· Manage the process of disposal of obsolete machinery, plant and equipment
· Assess effectiveness of root cause analysis of major failures and prepare action plan to prevent repeated failures in the plant
· Review Asset Care activities such as Operator’s check list, abnormality identification and closure
· Conduct condition appraisal for critical equipment at defined frequency.
· Assess requirement of CBM (Conditon based monitoring) for critical equipment and introduce CBM.
· Review work instructions/ SMP (Standard maintenance practices) for maintenance works and ensure adherence to those standards through walk through rounds in the plant
· Adherence to statutory requirements related to assets such as boiler and others.
· Drive maintenance projects on MTTR and MTBF improvement, and cost reduction
· Ensure uninterrupted supply of Utilities such as compressed air, steam, water etc.
· Work with the production team to suggest improvements to production processes that lead to overall increase in machine efficiency
· Prepare plan for spares requirement for different machines and equipment
Competencies • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development
• Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers
• Extensive plant level experience with significant proven man management experience
• Solid understanding of technical aspects of mechanical, electrical systems and PLC systems
• Expert in Total Preventive maintenance
• Understanding of ISO 14001, ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Commercially and financially astute with experience of managing budgets
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, SCADA, PLC Software.
