Universal Gun Barrel Cleaning System (UGBCS)
Firing of ammunition from a gun barrel leads to a lot of undesirable residues of carbon, copper etc inside the barrel. It is mandatory that these residual deposits are removed frequently to ensure that the expected performance of the gun barrel does not deteriorate or change and in extreme cases accidents are prevented from occurring.
Most armies in the world resort to manual cleaning of the gun barrels which is a very tedious and a manpower intensive process. On an average, it takes six men working for minimum ten hours to clean one gun barrel.
The Universal Gun Barrel Cleaning System (UGBCS) from MKU is a versatile, rugged and extremely capable device for cleaning of all kinds of gun barrels including chambers of artillery and tank guns of different calibers ranging from 100mm to 203mm. It can operate in all kinds of terrain and can function efficiently in extremes of climatic conditions from minus 20oC to plus 55oC.
While UGBCS has been designed to clean gun barrels and chamber, it can also carry out drying and oiling sequence by a simple and quick attachment of brushes thereby obviating the need of any additional mechanical / electrical power.

| The Universal Gun Barrel Cleaning Systems comprises the following parts: |
| Electrically powered hermetically sealed machine (Motor & Gearing). |
| A fixed number of rod segments depending on the length of the barrel and chamber. |
| A fixed number of sets of one guide and one brush depending on the length of the barrel and chamber diameter specific to the caliber of the gun. |
| Felt brushes used for drying, removal of residues and oiling of the barrel. |
| Stainless steel stand, duly powder coated with corrosion resistant paint for supporting the machine during operation. |
