MKU offers highly cost-effective ballistic protection through its
Cerazone armor plates which can be used either with vests or
as stand-alone plates. Cerazone armor plates use
Aluminimum Oxide (AI2O3) on the strike face and different
composites in the backing configurations; they are available in
various shapes, sizes & specifications.
MKU's Cerazone armor is a well defined system of spall lining,
ceramic tiles and reinforced composite backing material. It
functions by destroying the penetrative effect of the lead core
or hard core bullet and then with the the remaining energy of
the bullet by the composite backing. The spall lining protects
from the resulting secondary fragments.
MKU employs various backing materials in its Cerazone body
armor like PE, Aramid & FRP either alone or in combination,
depending upon the protection, weight and trauma levels
required/specified. Cerazone armor plates from MKU have
been tested, certified & approved by the best domestic and
international laboratories.
